Renewing your car registration — known as istemara in Qatar — is an annual obligation for every vehicle owner. The process involves vehicle inspection, insurance verification, and visits to government offices, which can be time-consuming especially during peak renewal periods. What you need to provide
To process your istemara renewal, AAA will need your vehicle, valid Qatar ID, current registration card, and valid vehicle insurance. If your insurance needs renewing first, let us know and we can advise on the process. Any government fees for the registration renewal are payable by the member.
